What will I be doing?

Responsible for both new business production and renewals for Commercial SME and mid-market accountsUnderwriting complex risks in accordance with defined limits of authority, organizational policy and underwriting standards Monitoring and reviewing underwriting standards, procedures and variations from proposal standards Underwriting activities in compliance with business and regulatory requirementsResponding to queries in a timely and professional manner in line with agreed service standardsProviding exceptional service to our customers through various mediumsMaintaining compliance requirements and individual accreditation levels Developing and maintaining long term relationships with Agency PartnersCoordinating and providing guidance and support to policyholdersProviding relevant feedback to internal and external stakeholdersAssisting other areas of the business unit to achieve agreed targets

What do I need?

Minimum 3-5 years experience as a production underwriter in commercial insurance lines Experience in a startup environment with a figure it out mindset as we build Experience in the Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail space with Food & Bev emphasis a plusTeam Player - you work effectively with cross-functional teams and can manage tasks and interests from many stakeholder groups  Motivation to expand, learn and grow with a high-performing teamComfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment Proactive, collaborative, and resilientContribute to a culture of continuous improvement Encourage and promote knowledge sharing and learning
