Detailed Position Description:

The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs will understand the mission, needs and value proposition of the university and the Wexner Center for the Arts and build relationships with donors to increase philanthropic support. The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs will be responsible for managing the planning and fundraising associated with the Wex’s annual fundraiser/gala and other advancement led events. This will include staffing the host committee, supporting volunteer solicitors’ needs in between meetings, and driving the corporate solicitation strategy. This position will manage a portfolio of corporate donors who will make annual gifts between $1,500-$25K. Position will be responsible for other stewardship moments, including various fundraising events outside of annual gala, leading, managing, and coordinating any/all travel programs to leverage interest, engagement, and philanthropic dollars, and managing membership and corporate sponsorship programs to maintain, sustain, and grow engagement and philanthropic dollars. Position’s success and performance will be measured against both quantitative and qualitative metrics, including fundraising achieved against metrics set by WCA and/or central university Advancement, recurring sponsorships/members, new sponsorship/members, and any other metrics set to maintain and sustain fundraising pipelines.

The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs leads the strategy for donor stewardship, including all acknowledgements, recognition, benefits programs, and events; manages departmental budget and workflow; and works with the Head of Advancement on fundraising/stewardship strategy.

Position will be a super user of various university systems, including but not limited to, Tessitura, The Advancement System (TAS), Workday, Docusign, and any other applicable systems.

The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs will develop a strong understanding of the Wex’s programs, strategic plan, and fundraising priorities through various means, but specifically being omnipresent throughout center-wide events and programming. The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs will work closely with the Head of Advancement, Wex staff, and development colleagues in OSU Advancement and manage the Membership Manager.

The Director of Donor and Corporate Programs reports to the Head of Advancement and operates with a high degree of independence to make decisions, solve problems, negotiate and adapt to shifting priorities. Expectations include stellar communications and interactions with constituents, collaboration with colleagues across Advancement and the university and Wexner Medical Center, diplomacy, and discretion. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience At least four year of professional fundraising experience or professional transferable experience At least one year of professional experience working with a CRM

Desired Qualifications:

At least one year of professional experience in higher education At least one year of experiences leading and managing teams Experience working in other advancement departments such as donor relations and stewardship, donor communications and/or alumni relations Demonstrated interest in contemporary arts
