Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, working in a successful team environment supporting reporting, budget/forecasting activities, long-range planning, and ad hoc financial analysis. A key responsibility of this Senior Financial Analyst is supporting our Client Operations Implementations organization on capacity planning, forecasting, and metrics analytics. Candidates must also have a solid understanding of financial management concepts, complex modeling, accounting procedures, variance analysis, and the ability to analyze large data sets. The candidate is also expected to quickly gain an understanding of our wide portfolio of businesses with application to these responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monthly development and interpretation of financial expense results, variance analysis and commentary, key performance metrics and business drivers to identify trends and make recommendations based on risks and opportunities, operational efficiencies, and overall financial alignment with team’s goals and objectives. 

Weekly metrics tracking and reporting to assist in development of monthly forecast and risks and opportunity submissions.

Partner with Implementation leads and matrix partners on root causes and performance drivers on metrics, KPIs and ad hoc requests.

Assist in the development and delivery of monthly metrics packages, providing insight and analysis as it relates to performance indicators by brand.

Develop business cases to support leadership decisioning for initiatives and investments including post launch results tracking and analysis.

Assist with developing recommendations through analysis, providing financial and operational insights necessary to help manage the team’s performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with 4+ years of experience in a financial environment including a strong focus in financial planning and analysis. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 1+ year of relevant finance experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 8+ years of experience.

Strong analytical ability with track record of delivered results

Solid analytical and research capabilities required

Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s own work

Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities, or projects

Advanced MS Excel skills required, including formulas, financial functions, pivot tables, design, and formatting for executive presentations

Experience with OneStream Enterprise Financial system is a strong plus.

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
