Flexibility Research Service Specialist
LCP Delta is seeking an experienced Flexibility Research Service Specialist who will play a key role in our flexibility service and support our future growth.
This is a great opportunity to:
To develop, lead and deliver cutting-edge research and consultancy projects in the energy flexibility spaceTo build relationships with a range of industry players and support the development of LCP Delta’s flexibility research activities and capabilitiesYour role will involve:
Supporting the scoping and delivery of flexibility consultancy projects (mix of large and small, usually more than one at the same time)Conducting in-depth research and analysis, including qualitative and quantitative methodsDelivering reports and engaging content to our research and consultancy clientsInput into our subscription research, supporting the shaping of the deliverables and subscriber interaction Providing expert insight and opinion on energy flexibility to clients and internal colleagues Working with other research teams as required, across topics such as modelling, heat, EVs, connected home products, electricity networks Delivering training in energy flexibility to a wide range of participants Working closely with clients and developing client relationships Building relationships with industry contacts on behalf of LCP DeltaProject Range
LCP Delta’s consultancy team provides services to a range of our existing research clients and new clients. We have delivered projects for over organisations covering network companies, energy suppliers, policy makers (associations and Government departments), manufacturers, technology companies, and investors and new entrants. A strong background and experience of working in energy flexibility A solid understanding of:the regulatory environment for flexibility, participation in ancillary services markets and spot wholesale markets and other revenue opportunities for flexibility, and the challenges faced by independent aggregators, retailers and regulators in developing and implementing business models and markets for flexibilityExcellentproject management skills and experience in leading and managing teams to deliver research or consultancy projectsExcellent client management and relationship-building skills Thought leadership and strong analytical skills – an ability to simplify complexity Team player – collaborative, setting standards, building relationships, providing feedback Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage a varied workload and multiple deadlines A desire to learn from, listen to and understand industry contactsEvidence of your ability in a variety of research methods, including face-to-face and telephone discussion with industry experts and other professionalsThe ability to develop relationships with new industry contacts / clients, and to understand their needsThe ability to network and attend eventsAlignment with our company values-
