Position Summary -Tech

Under direct supervision, perform highly skilled work to support the trade shop. Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment that is aligned with Denver Water guidelines as well as city, state, and federal laws.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Repair, replace, modify, and install equipment and components related to maintenance tasks involving facilities.Assist in the development of predictive and preventive maintenance procedures in all trade shops.Assist with various projects and ensure the cleaning of equipment and working areas.Maintain tools and equipment in proper condition by cleaning and oiling machinery, and reporting needed repairs.Assist in dismantling and assembling equipment undergoing repair.Support other Denver Water sections and shops in the general repair of other mechanical related items.Ability to Inspect and diagnose issues which may occur in relation to equipment being operated within shop.Work with various Building Automation Systems to improve function and reliability of HVAC Systems.Record and rate assets for Asset ManagementPerform related work as required.

Repair, replace, modify, and install equipment and components related to all maintenance tasks involving facilities.Maintain work and production information and data through record keeping and inventory control.Provide regular reports to appropriate departments.Develop predictive and preventive maintenance procedures in all trade shops.Assist with various projects and ensure the cleaning of equipment and working areas.Prepare estimates of materials, parts, equipment requirements, requisitions of materials, and supplies from general stock.May lead a small team in completing assigned tasks for assigned shop.Maintain tools and equipment in proper condition by cleaning and oiling machinery, and reporting needed repairs. Assist in dismantling and assembling equipment undergoing repair.Support and train other Denver Water sections and shops in the general repair of other mechanical related items.Inspect and diagnose issues which may occur in relation to equipment being operated within shop.Assist Engineering in HVAC Equipment Replacement. Budgeting, installation, maintenance, and tracking.Work with various Building Automation Systems to improve function and reliability of HVAC Systems.Record and rate assets for Asset ManagementPerform related work as required.

Minimum Requirements-Tech

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 1 year of related work experience.Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.

Licenses, Registration, and Certifications

EPA Certification is required within 3 months of hire.Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
