Major Duties:
- Safety Leadership: Champion and elevate safety protocols to serve as a benchmark for compliance and safety-first culture on the shop floor.
- Process Mastery & Control: Assume full responsibility for critical foundry processes; meticulously develop, assess, and perfect control plans to ensure exceptional quality and performance.
- Lean & Six Sigma Initiatives: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to spearhead projects aimed at minimizing process variations and eradicating inefficiencies, substantially enhancing operational effectiveness.
- Team Collaboration & Training: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops, enhancing the technical skills and capabilities of team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent technical degrees also considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing setting, with a strong preference for candidates with foundry operation experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in metallurgical process improvements, operation of melt furnaces, and a thorough understanding of solidification processes.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly desirable; candidates without this qualification will receive training to achieve certification.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Must possess excellent communication skills to manage diverse teams effectively and complex projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with metallurgical process improvements.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining control plans for foundry processes.
- Demonstrated success in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
