About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling concepts, 3D modeling, and detailed 2D drawings. You will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure that our tools are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop tooling concepts, including jigs, fixtures, lifting devices, and semi-automated equipment
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure that tools are designed to meet production needs
  • Develop CAD models and 3D models using CREO CAD modeling and drafting software
  • Work with the team to develop processes and procedures for tooling design and development
  • Support the development of special tools and equipment for manufacturing operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in tooling design and development
  • Proficiency in CREO CAD modeling and drafting software
  • Experience with solid rocket motors or other energetics
  • Knowledge of GD&T and machining and fabrication principles
