First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Mortgage Service Center team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of mortgage loan servicing activities, including:

Managing the on-boarding process to ensure all information required to service the loan interfaced properly. Monitoring on-going ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) change requirements. Processing daily Mortgage Loan payments and reconciling various General Ledger and other financial account. Managing the off-boarding process, from providing payoff quotes through preparing documents to release the lien on the collateral.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may vary)

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.92 - $24.81/hr; commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. 3 years’ experience in mortgage banking/mortgage servicing, or related experience required. Good understanding of mortgage loan terms, documents, and loan programs such as Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Administration and Conventional loan programs. Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicates with customers to resolve inquiries. Able to understand complex legal documents, regulatory requirements, investor requirements and Bank policies. Must possess analytical skills to research, resolve and communicate issues with customers, lending and origination staff, and management. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be organized and detail oriented. Able to handle confidential matters judiciously. Self-starter and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
