As a Commercial Real Estate Officer II at Central Pacific Bank, you will play a critical role in managing and growing a portfolio of high-valued client relationships, focusing on commercial mortgage loans and construction loans. Your primary responsibilities will include generating new loan production, deposits, and fee income, as well as conducting face-to-face meetings with high-quality loan and deposit customers. You will also be responsible for evaluating borrowers and guarantors, preparing market research, and reviewing loan documents. Additionally, you will assist in the management of work assignments and workflows, and participate in commercial real estate business organizations and attend meetings and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate new commercial mortgages and construction loans to meet annual production goals and objectives.
• Originate new commercial mortgage loans and construction loans, deposits, and fee income from new and existing sources of business.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with high-quality loan and deposit customers and prepare detailed call reports for customer contacts.
• Evaluate the borrowers and guarantors, prepare market research, discuss loan with Credit Administrator, prepare term sheets, review appraisal and environmental reports, review guarantor credit reports, review EDR screens and prepare environmental assessment questionnaires.
• Prepare Credit Approval Memorandum write-ups/review CAM write-ups by underwriters with clear, concise and timely loan request presentations that meet the Bank's quality targets, lending policies, and guidelines and assess the credit strengths, weaknesses, and potential risks.
• Review commitments letters, review title searches, review borrower documents, order and review loan documents, and review and sign-off on documentation checklist.
• Review construction loan draws and inspection reports, review line draws, obtain disbursement approvals, and approve collateral releases.
• Participate in commercial real estate business organizations and attend meetings and functions.
• Actively participate in Bank-sponsored community events.
• Assist in the management of work assignments and workflows.
• Assist in mentoring team staff development and advancement and insure alignment with personal development goals.
• Assist in raising skill levels and core competencies of staff members.
• In the absence of the team leader, manage the team leader's responsibilities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred for CRELD Officer II, required for CRELD Officer III.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending/commercial lending and relationship management, or equivalent work experience for CRELD Officer II, 6+ years for CRELD Officer III.
• Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
• Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
• Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
• Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
