QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High school diploma or equivalentAssociate’s degree and bachelor’s degrees are a plus, but not required

Experience and Training

Experience in a customer service role, preferably multitasking (e.g. scheduling appointments while answering phones)Preferred experience in a dental or medical officePreferred training on an electronic medical recordEPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greets and checks-in patients with a smileRegisters new patientsManages, confirms, and schedules appointments for optimum patient flowManages incoming patient inquiries via the telephone and internet, verify patient insurances, ensure co-pays and outstanding balances are collectedContinuously assesses the schedule ensuring optimum patient flowResponds to patient, clinical, and operational concerns timely and effectively.Cross-trains to present financial options for patient treatment plansEngages patients in marketing initiativesOther duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical OperationsSupports practice and organizational goals

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Senior Associate Dean for Administration and FinanceEvaluation: Ongoing performance reviews is conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
