This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Coordinator to join our Earth & Environment Team serving strategic clients for multidiscipline projects across the region. This position will be based in our Charlotte, NC office. This position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced team who provides solutions on environmental and engineering projects. Your role could include involvement through all stages of a project’s life cycle, while working closely with project and technical managers. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with professional experts within a leading global consulting company.

Your Impact 

Support Project Managers and internal stakeholders in planning and executing projects, including project setup, project implementation, and closing as per WSP’s Project Delivery proceduresAssist with developing and maintaining project Work Breakdown Structure and scheduleCoordinate logistics in support of project tasks, including team personnel travel or field equipment orderingTrack and monitor budget and expenditure under the guidance of Project ManagersInterface when necessary with the accounting team regarding client invoicing, payments, and the monthly project billing cycleTrack and manage compliance with requirements of quality management processes or plansCoordinate and document team communicationsCoordinate document delivery, updates, filing, and implement other control systemsVisible support resource for knowledge of WSP systems and protocolsProvide non-technical document review, proofreading for accuracy, completeness, compliance with corporate policies, formatting adherence, including grammar, punctuation, and spellingAssemble and ship project work plans, health and safety plans, and reports to various agencies and clients

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

3 or more years of relevant work experienceComputer skills and experience with industry standard commercial computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Excellent verbal skills with writing and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and within groupsEffective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audienceStrong problem-solving abilities, organization, and attention to detailUnderstanding the importance of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project documentation and submittals is a plus.Degree in related discipline Work experience in a consulting environment or similar-project-based businessIntermediate to advanced understanding of Adobe Acrobat and MS PowerPoint
