PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The AVP, Retailer Marketing will be responsible for developing strategies and tactics to enhance the success of strategic brands and retailers at Simon. This role will be responsible for building strong connections with key retailers, developing custom marketing plans for their success, utilizing retailer content to enhance Simon marketing efforts and obtaining retailer participation in Simon omnichannel marketing initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Deepen relationships with key strategic retailers to leverage their content, programs, activations and initiatives to drive broader value for Simon shopping destinations. Own key relationships and be the primary marketing point of contact for select brands/retailers. Develop and execute customized marketing strategies to support their success, as well as pitch and obtain retailer participation in Simon omnichannel participation initiatives.  Work in conjunction with new business leasing and local center marketing teams to develop launch strategies for new brands, including grand opening support and ongoing implementation.  Analyze retail productivity. Monitor performance and implement marketing campaigns when needed.  Elevate the look/feel and messaging of creative assets for retailer marketing including presentations, marketing overviews, unique opportunities, emails, case studies etc. Develop strategy along with tools and resources to communicate Simon’s B2C marketing opportunities to retailers and brands. Ensure alignment between retailer marketing and brand management for all campaigns that have retailer promotional opportunities. Manage development of annual retailer marketing guide and associated support materials. Develop content ideas for LinkedIn, newsletters, Simon SAID and B2B Website to highlight Simon retailer news. Secure approvals, manage, book and document all complimentary media for approved retailers. Build, maintain and manage relationships with Marketing, Leasing, Development, and other internal business partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. 8+ years’ experience in a marketing and/or business development with a retail brand. Strong track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in creating compelling and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute customized strategic marketing programs. Strong communication skills with the ability to develop content for various platforms. Excellent organizational skills for managing projects, approvals, and documentation. Reputation for being collaborative, proactive and resourceful. Driven and motivated to make a difference.
