Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus in DeSoto, TX has an opportunity for a Clinical Education Specialist to join our team

 

The Clinical Education Specialist role is responsible for ensuring that Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus, LLC owned, and managed facilities have available to them front line clinical education programs.

 

The areas of clinical education include (but not limited to) leadership training, clinical skills and standards education, competency skill training, new employee position specific orientation. These programs are designed to meet the training needs of both the Centers and Corporate initiatives that adhere to the vision and mission of Williamsburg Village Healthcare Campus, LLC.

 

Additionally, the design of the programs should enhance the skills and abilities of the employees and reflect measurable, quality outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Current, valid licensure as an RN.  Compact license preferred.

·    Thorough knowledge of applicable state/federal regulations and standards of care

·    Minimum of five years’ experience in long-term care, preferably as a DON, Nurse Consultant, or Administrator.

·    Skill of preparing written materials such as correspondence and reports to meet purpose of audience.

·    Ability to introduce both self and ideas, using knowledge and observations to provide training so that they understand and accept ideas/concepts presented as credible.

·       Ability to learn new clinical software applications in relation to translating into training/support.

·      Management/Supervisory experience required.

·       Ability to frequently travel to various client sites throughout different states with the ability to stay overnight, sometimes for multiple nights.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

·      Coordinating/monitoring training for all programs.

·      Provide standard program training outlines, documentation, timeframe requirements, and appropriate program materials for facilities.

·     Train Staff Development Coordinators or designees for the responsibility of training, at facilities.

·     Audit training program contents for compliance at facility level.

·     Assist facilities in attaining and maintaining quality clinical programs, education, and training.

·     Ensure programs contain competencies as well as return demonstrations as indicated.

·     Assistance with yearly competency skills fair.

·     Review survey outcomes and provide training for identified areas

·     Plan and supervise state and federally required in-service programs

·    Maintain programs according to "Best Practice Standards".

·    Work with Learning Management System (LMS) for expansion of online training programs.

·    Development of contact hour approved programs for licensure.

·    Reviews and analyzes state survey and quality assurance results to aid in need assessments and development of action plans.

·    Provide training and orientation programming for position specific nursing positions.

·    Assist in coordination of C.N.A. training programs.
