Clinical Nurse Specialist

Center for Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.

We are redefining the standards in radiology, making it an essential initial step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

Join us in our mission to illuminate the path to better health. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, encompassing the following responsibilities.

This position is temporary/PRN, offering day shift coverage from Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Patient Care

  • Clearly communicates procedures and treatments to patients to foster understanding and alleviate concerns
  • Conducts patient screenings prior to procedures to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications
  • Provides education to patients and their families regarding pre, intra, and post-procedure care
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments (such as contrasts and sedatives) in accordance with established standards and regulations
  • Prepares necessary equipment and assists the Physician during patient examinations and treatments
  • Remains attentive to the comfort and safety needs of patients
  • Monitors patients, documenting significant conditions and reactions, and promptly informs supervisors or Physicians of any changes
  • Observes and records vital signs to identify deviations from normal conditions and assess patient status
  • Responds to critical situations based on nursing protocols and established procedures
  • Documents patient history and physical assessments for assigned individuals
  • Develops a patient education plan tailored to the unique needs of each patient, as directed by the Physician and/or clinic policy, including instruction for patients and families
(10%) Department Support

  • Engages in departmental quality improvement initiatives
  • Aids in the establishment, evaluation, and updating of patient care standards
  • Maintains nursing and patient monitoring equipment
(5%) Additional Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual abilities
  • Experience in outpatient radiology settings
