Job Requirements:

·Manage and administer AWS RDS databases, including configuration, and monitoring of instances.

·Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and regular maintenance tasks.

·Establish and enforce database security policies, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.

·Utilize AWS monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, RDS Performance Insights) to monitor database performance and health, responding to alerts and issues as they arise.

·Evaluate and implement solutions for scaling databases based on application requirements, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

·Work closely with application developers and data engineers to support application development and data integration processes.

·Identify and resolve database issues promptly, providing support for incident management.

·Participate in all Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills:

Proven experience:

·9+ years’ experience with information systems.

·8+ years’ experience in database administration.

·Strong knowledge of database design, development, and administration. (e.g. PostgreSQL).

·Experience with data integration tools (e.g. AWS Glue)

·Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning techniques.

·Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS).

·Building strong relationships through Agile team(s) and personal performance

·Collaborating in a multiple team environment

·Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written. Includes the ability to effectively communicate complex information to audiences with varying technical and system backgrounds and at multiple organizational levels

Desired Skills :

Experience with:

·CMS experience

·Supporting client stakeholders with varying levels of Agile experience

·Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel

Education/Certifications:

·Computer Science degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related major

Desired (pluses):

Master’s in information systems or computer science Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
