Database Systems Administrator

At Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), we're seeking a skilled Database Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and administering our AWS RDS databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and monitor database instances
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies
  • Establish and enforce database security policies
  • Utilize AWS monitoring tools to monitor database performance and health
  • Work closely with application developers and data engineers to support application development and data integration processes

Requirements:

  • 9+ years' experience with information systems
  • 8+ years' experience in database administration
  • Strong knowledge of database design, development, and administration
  • Experience with data integration tools and cloud platforms
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CMS and Agile methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel

Education/Certifications:

  • Computer Science degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related major
  • Desired: Master's in information systems or computer science
