AS A DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR YOU WILL:

  • Own, track, and resolve database related incidents
  • Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support to our customers.
  • Design and architect new database technologies for CARFAX’s products
  • Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities
  • Manage replication between database systems
  • Setup and maintain documentation and standards
  • Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
  • Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, etc.
  • 2+ years experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL
  • 2+ years managing highly available, scalable production systems in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Understanding of data architecture, replication, and administration
  • A good knowledge of physical database design
  • A good knowledge of security management
  • A good knowledge data integrity
  • A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning
  • Experience with automation tools such as Chef/Puppet
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
