Key Responsibilities:

Modeling/Projections of the Company's Business

Expected to be 80-90% of Employee's Time

Work on various modeling projects of new and inforce business, using Milliman’s MG-ALFA projection software. This would include: Projects focusing on the design and implementation of new products. This work will involve working with the head Modeling Actuary and the Product Actuary. Projects focusing on modeling the profitability of currently sold products, Projects focusing on modeling existing run out business. Peer-reviewing the work of other, more junior modeling actuaries Communicate project status to management Participate in meetings as necessary. Address issues as they arise and take corrective action to assure timely completion

Other Financial Actuarial Work -

Expected To be 10-20% of Employee's Time

Help out on special projects, as requested.  Be involved in peer review of the Actuarial Department's work. 

Qualifications:

7+ years of progressive experience working with life insurance products and projections. Ability to meet deadlines and perform / manage multiple functions.  Ability to work in a collaborative mode with a wide ranging group. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Expert user in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products.

Skills:

Experience with financial reporting and pricing a plus. Knowledge of MG-ALFA projection software a plus. Knowledge of PolySystems software plus

Licenses + Certifications:

Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent
