Job Summary

Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Associate Actuary to join our Actuarial Models team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining actuarial models used in the company's valuation, pricing, inforce management, asset liability management, and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand required changes to Corporate AXIS models and implement model change management activities in a rigorous model governance environment.
  • Prepare the Corporate AXIS models for regularly scheduled production runs and maintain comprehensive model documentation.
  • Provide technical model support and relevant training to other actuarial users within the organization.
  • Interact with different levels of employees from various areas of the company, including IT, reinsurance, and internal audit, as well as external groups such as software vendors and consultants.
  • Develop and enhance processes to be effective and efficient, including being repeatable and scalable.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or other related area.
  • ASA designation.
  • 4+ years of related actuarial experience.
  • Experience with and knowledge of AXIS (preferred) or similar actuarial modeling software is required.
  • Experience with the Fixed Indexed Annuity, Indexed Universal Life, or Pension Risk Transfer lines of business, or reinsurance thereon, is preferred.
