This leadership role is focused on ESIS’s commitment to manage and grow our presence and influence in the Transportation Industry Vertical by aligning internal resources to provide exceptional overall insight and service to ESIS’ key clients and brokers. 

As a main point of contact this position will focus on those clients, brokers and internal stakeholders that have transportation/fleet related risk and claims management needs. The position will focus on how to best position ESIS’ claim services, strategies, human capital, and our safety and loss control services in this important industry vertical. This role demonstrates ESIS’s commitment to deploy dedicated capabilities, knowledge, experience, and resources to meet the specialized needs of current and future transportation customers. This approach, blending external client engagement with ESIS’ vast array of product and services leads to an exciting and fulfilling role as a Vice President/Transportation Industry Segment Leader.

Key Deliverables:

Participate in establishing and executing strategies to achieve financial plans for ESIS’ Transportation Vertical.

Strategic Market Visibility: Consistent and frequent contact with our brokers and clients. Frequent in person travel as well as periodic (monthly / quarterly) calls with key trading partners. Continuous Market Cultivation: Work closely with ESIS Sales Team to identify and target opportunities in the Transportation. Messaging: Promotion and understanding of new claim processes, services and technology related initiatives.  Participation in new and existing client sales and stewardship presentations and provide industry insights to best position ESIS.  Market and competitor intelligence  Drive the positioning and negotiations associated with delivering profitable transactions  Cultivate underpenetrated accounts into more deep-rooted ESIS clients. Identify and foster key broker relationships in order to access the key decision makers.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within ESIS to internal and external clientele.  Remain current on emerging issues facing the industry, along with knowledge and application of and tools available to support stakeholders in combatting/controlling these topics Provide appropriate guidance to line of business leadership (Sales, Partnership Services and Claims) on meeting the customer’s expectations and needs. Educate line of business team members; develop a culture of cross selling that promotes the positioning and expanding ESIS services at the client level. Provide leadership by building and executing customer retention and acquisition strategies.  Work closely with ESIS Sales to define sales strategies, assist in driving the sales process, facilitate priorities and coordinate resolution of conflicting priorities on target prospects and existing accounts. Influence activity and production by conducting reoccurring Industry Vertical meetings. Be an active participant in key industry conference. 

Client Development, Sales and Servicing:

Involved in selling ESIS into the Transportation Industry Vertical.  Take on Client Executive responsibility for some of our key clients. Be a focal point for clients on a regular basis to discuss service issues including the execution of stewardship meetings.  Understand client’s business and operations as well as risk management, safety and claims related service strategies. Know totality of current relationship, account profitability, key claim issues and areas for expansion. Communicate key account issues and strategies within the ESIS organization. Manage service standards by timely response to broker requests, setting of expectations and timely submission of quotations.

Account Coordination: 

Monitor and report on customer specific results. Bringing together all business units to effectively cross sell. Coordinate and drive the strategy for the Transportation Target Accounts. 

Technical Guidance & Reporting responsibilities: 

Utilize Salesforce and Tracker/EXP to provide client/prospect information support to business units. Responsible for account mapping and targeting of the industry universe. Produce Monthly Report for ESIS leadership on transportation related activities and results. Continually map the Universe of Transportation Accounts focusing on new relationships, expansion and retention. Business acumen: Strong understanding of claims and risk management practice specifically in the transportation arena. Proven ability to seek out new distribution sources being direct and indirect.  Track record of high achievement in a team-based and results-oriented culture  Strong communication skills: To assure healthy exchange of information & impediments.  Ability to effectively interact with brokerage, customer and internal stakeholders at all levels. Possess or quickly obtain knowledge of ESIS’ and our carrier partners capabilities and possess the ability to communicate that information to existing or new customers at all levels.

Desired Qualifications: 

15 plus year’s insurance industry experience; preferably in a senior claims or risk management level capacity (though not required) with excellent client and broker interaction experience. Undergraduate degree required.  Excellent sales/marketing, relationship management and negotiation skills  Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to people and process in pursuit of business objectives.  Eagerness to travel and build new relationships. Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Excel required. 

The pay range for the role is $128,500 to $215,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found .
