Overview:

As the Sales & Catering Manager at Compass by Margaritaville Hotel Naples, you will play a crucial role in building our hotel business and executing the calendar of events for The Backyard, our premier event space. You will actively prospect and cultivate corporate and social partnerships while working closely with clients to ensure the successful planning, promotion, and execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Partnerships:

Identify, prospect and close potential corporate partnerships within the travel industry, including travel agencies and leisure travel companies.

Prospect local companies for travel and event opportunities at The Backyard, leveraging our unique event space and amenities.

Cultivate partnerships with sports venues, Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), and third-party housing companies to enhance event offerings and attract a diverse audience.

Forge strategic alliances with local wedding venues and surrounding hotels to provide accommodations and cross-promotional opportunities.

Building Event Calendar:

Collaborate with team members to develop a comprehensive calendar of events for The Backyard.

Coordinate all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring seamless coordination and communication among team members.

Promotion and Marketing:

Work closely with organizational resources to implement marketing strategies to promote hotel and events.

Collaborate to monitor and analyze promotional efforts to optimize reach and engagement, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Detailing Events:

Provide detailed documentation of events held at The Backyard and Compass Boardroom, including attendance numbers, feedback, and key takeaways for future improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, event planning and coordination, preferably in a hospitality setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and clients.

Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.

Familiarity with marketing and promotional techniques.

Experience in prospecting and negotiating corporate partnerships is highly desirable.

Knowledge of the travel industry, including trends, key players, and potential partnership opportunities, is a plus.

Formal education a plus, but not required.
