POSITION SUMMARY
TRC’s National Energy Siting and Permitting Practice is seeking to grow our successful transmission and renewables siting and permitting practice. We are looking for individuals with over 5 years energy consulting experience, a broad base of GIS, siting, permitting, and planning experience to grow our portfolio of inter and intrastate electric transmission and renewables siting projects . Candidates interested should have a detailed knowledge of ArcGIS and related platforms, be able to contribute to innovative solutions to siting problems and be willing to bring ideas and solutions to an exciting and innovative team. The position includes leading web mapping-based meetings, creating and editing GIS projects, performing routing studies, automating data collection where possible, performing raster-based optimal path analysis along with other siting solutions.
Minimum experience required for this position is 5-10 years’ and at least a bachelor’s degree in geography, planning or environmental science (or related fields). Successful candidates can expect to join a well-motivated, friendly collaborative team that enjoys the challenges of working on these unique and exciting projects.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Work as part of TRC’s siting team on existing and new projects, applying our well tested transmission routing protocols, data management and processing, and report preparation. Set up and manage siting projects in ArcGIS. Set up and update web maps for the project team and clients (used to communicate and capture edits in siting meetings). As part of our siting process be able to perform raster-based analyses and optimal path analysis based on those surfaces (we periodically use this on large projects to narrow the study area). Grow the siting/GIS team as needs allow. Be free to bring new ideas to routing including AI, automation and data analysis and presentation tools. Recruit and grow your own staff as opportunities allow. Attend conferences, meet with clients to expand TRC’s siting brand. Coordinate internally with Power, Land Services and the Environmental Regions to bring full-service siting, permitting, ROW and engineering offerings to transmission and renewables clients.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Environmental/Earth Science, Environmental Planning or other related discipline. A minimum of 5-10 years of siting and permitting experience. Basic knowledge and familiarity with GIS software including but not limited to ESRI’s ArcGIS. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with supervision from a Manager. Should be able to manage multiple projects needs concurrently, and in a time-sensitive manner. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills to work as a member of a larger siting and permitting team to complete project tasks.Benefits * : TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
