Key Responsibilities- Technical Delivery: Lead the engineering of power transmission line projects from initial concept through to construction.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering and design documents, including conceptual designs, structural configurations, and material selections.
- Utilize PLS-CADD for modeling, profiling, and preparing necessary design calculations and drawings.
- Conduct route alignment studies and prepare technical reports and construction documents.
- Provide engineering support during construction and collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure project success.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance project execution and visibility in the marketplace.
- Engage with clients to share knowledge and innovations that drive revenue and strengthen our reputation.
- Maintain relationships within the industry and participate in events to promote Stantec's capabilities.
- Inspire and guide junior engineers and EITs, fostering their professional development.
- Model Stantec's core values and support the mission of designing with community impact in mind.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.
- Familiarity with North American transmission line standards.
- A degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer designation.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in transmission line design.
