Role PurposeThe Sr. Director, Procurement Platforms is responsible for global procurement technology platforms & analytics and provides leadership to a global team of professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This position requires someone who can work independently, is a self-starter, and able to respond in a matrixed, fast-paced environment. The ideal individual must excel at working with high level business stakeholders to understand their strategies and match them with the right solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and strategically lead the Procurement Technologies scope within the Procurement organization.
  • Understands and communicates technology vision, strategy, and roadmaps that are aligned with CBREs strategies and initiatives.
  • Translates procurement organizations requirements into technical requirements, with an ability to communicate equally with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Creates strong partnerships with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and D&T organizations.
  • Manage global Procurement spend analytics team to enhance analytics offering and drive informed decision-making and cost efficiency.
  • Develops and drives the building of business cases for future investments and presents to Executive Leadership for buy-in and sponsorship.
  • Leads the implementation of transformation initiatives and governance programs supporting the procurement technology scope.
  • Manages all initiatives to available budgets and partners with finance to communicate financial costs and chargebacks.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and performance of procurement platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with Digital and Technology (D&T) teams to integrate solutions seamlessly into procurement platforms.
  • Foster innovation by identifying, evaluating, and implementing cutting-edge AI and ML technologies in the procurement domain.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring the procurement platform landscape remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Conduct regular assessments of market trends and emerging technologies to inform the organization's procurement technology roadmap.
  • Lead and supervise a global team of five (5) direct reports.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting professional growth and development.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within procurement, with a focus on Procurement Platforms, Analytics, AI, and ML initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing global teams and implementing procurement technologies at scale.
  • In-depth knowledge of source-to-pay processes and technologies, as well as global spend analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and achieving cost savings through effective procurement strategies.
  • Ability to work productively and influence change within a large, complex organization.
  • High attention to detail, and accuracy, within a high-volume work environment

  • Passion to provide great service to internal customers.

Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field from four-year College and/or University.
  • Minimum ten years of experience and/or training.
  • Skills / experience in Coupa and Snowflake is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in various computer applications, MS Office Power Point, Word, Excel, Others is a plus.

Reporting Structure:This role reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and includes 5 direct reports.
