Job Overview

The Production Supervisor at Sprecher Beverage Company will report to the Plant Manager and will lead operations of the variety packing line on 2nd shift at our manufacturing facility in Richfield, WI. The individual will oversee all aspects of line operations, production schedules, employee management, and warehouse efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and lead team of operators while following GMP’s.
  • Actively participate in work force planning, hiring, training, scheduling, and employee development to foster a high performing team.
  • Operate all equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and do routine maintenance on machinery
  • Help manage production schedules to achieve plant performance optimization and timely customer order fulfillment
  • Ensure all safety and quality requirements are met
  • Build effective alliances with other business units; Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Safety and Quality to ensure alignment of company priorities
  • Provide leadership in the areas of safety, morale, quality, cost, and production.
  • Create a culture of respect, teamwork, and effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of management in a manufacturing setting or similar.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, and workplace protocols
  • Experience in building teams as well as hiring, training and scheduling
  • Extensive knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-directed, personally motivated, with strong attention to detail
  • Work effectively with the leadership team, key stakeholders, and employees to foster a positive and winning culture
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure; customer-service oriented attitude
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the position

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally 75 lbs.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to: walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching.
