*1st and 2nd Shift Open Positions* JOB SUMMARY CNC Machinist III is responsible for operating and programming a 5-axis CNC machine tool. This includes setting up and verifying tooling, setting part offsets, and programming computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. This person can complete a complex part from start to finish with little to no guidance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining conditions. Operate and maintain the machine according to work instructions. Program toolpaths with CAM software. Operate and program 5-axis CNC machine tool. Take precise measurements to verify program accuracy. Monitor and develop speed, feed, depth, and/or angle of cut during machining operations. Maintain clean work area and machine on a daily basis. Maintain workflow between shifts by documenting and communicating actions.
