Summary

Responsible for providing intensive behavioralintervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder andother developmental delays in language cognitive adaptive behaviorsocialemotional selfcare fine motor gross motor and communicationdevelopment. The behavior therapist is ultimately responsible fordirect delivery of the behavioral services to the children andfamilies as well as accurate recordkeeping of case notes andexcellent communication with supervising BCABA or BCBA about theprogram and the progress of the behavior service plans. The RBTmaintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours asdirected.

Essential Functions

  • Provide direct therapy in individual and groupsessions.
  • Complete weekly program writingand maintain clients program book.
  • Work with the Clinical Team and implementindividualized goals and checklists.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as written anddirected by a Clinical Manager.
  • Graph data as instructed may only apply if theelectronic data collection system is offline.
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
  • Maintain professional and technicalknowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewingprofessional publications; establishing personal networks;benchmarking stateoftheart practices; participating in professionalsocieties.
  • Maintain and protect thewellbeing of all clients.
  • Avoids legal challenges by keeping client informationconfidential.
  • Possession of a valid driver slicense and the ability to meet California s driving requirements
  • Dependable means of transportation

Additional Functions:

  • Actively communicates the Nexus Therapiesoutreach efforts to community

  • Adheres to the mission vision and values of NexusTherapies (very important)



Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree
  • An associatesdegree or Bachelors degree in the areas of applied behavioranalysis marriage and family therapy child development specialeducation psychology or related field.
  • RBT Certification.
  • Demonstrate athorough understanding of DTT PECS PRT and other ABA strategies.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Abilityto stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to see forpurposes of reading laws and codes rules and policies and otherprinted matter and observing students.
  • Ability to hear and understand speech atnormal speech levels in the English language.
  • Ability tocommunicate so others will be able to understand normalconversation clearly.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Adapt to managemoderate to highstress levels.
  • Work fluctuates between a clinical officeand home environment.
  • Climate is normal; occasional adverseweather conditions.
  • Regular contact with parents communitymembers and outside agency personnel.
  • Hazards: Incumbents may be exposed tocontact with individuals displaying physically aggressiveselfabusive or socially undesirable behavior.
  • Ability andwillingness to travel between client locations for appointments asassigned in a punctual manner.
  • Successfully pass an FBI and DOJbackground check
Reliable transportation is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a parttime position. Days andhours of work are Monday through Friday with some weekends asneeded; hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule.Occasional weekend work will be required based on client needs.

Monday Friday hours available 12 pm to 8pm.

Saturday 10 am to 6 pm

Develop and overseeindividualized client programs, ensuring they align with assessmentdata and documented goals. Conduct comprehensive behavioralevaluations, crafting tailored support plans. Regularly monitorclient progress, updating goals, and adjusting interventions asnecessary. Supervise and evaluate team performance, fostering aculture of continuous improvement and skill development. Maintainactive communication with the Clinical Director, promptlyaddressing any issues that impact client satisfaction orprogress.
