Position Summary:

Dollar Loan Center seeks an individual within the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area that will represent DLC in attending small claims court hearings. The representative will work directly with team members to prepare for upcoming cases. The position requires strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, organize, prioritize, and plan. Ability to gather and analyze facts, to devise solutions to problems, follow instructions, detail oriented, perform with a high level of accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance. Ability to correctly interpret, explain and apply policies and procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with internal team members, court clerks, defendant, opposing counsel, and third parties via phone, email, mail and face-to-face.
  • Responsible for calendaring appearance for court dates.
  • Attend pre-judgment and post-judgment court hearings as needed.
  • Travel to assigned courts within and outside jurisdictions.
  • Review, notate and update case information.
  • Attend remote court hearings as needed.
  • Maintain and organize electronic case files, legal documents, and client information using relevant software and databases.
  • Efficiently maintain, monitor, and respond to all incoming emails, voicemails, and phone calls.
  • Organize, compile, and prepare case documents and exhibits. Proofreads all documents assigned for preparation, to ensure all formatting and criteria are correct.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities to increase work efficiency, while still communicating and responding to account management.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Research websites and make phone calls to courts to follow up on the status of cases.



Experience:

  • Background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin court rules, local rules, and procedural requirements to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
