HR Assistant in Albany GA for a Great Non-Profit with a powerful mission


Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Creates paperless personnel files for every new employee,
  • Arranges documents in the files according to protocol in sections,determines if any paperwork is missing
  • Sends emails to employees, supervisors and HR director to secure missing information.
    Pulls and marks personnel files for those employees who have terminated.
  • Moves those files to a separate location titled closed file on the agency electronic platform.
  • Screens and reviews open positions within Acquire. Assist with DSP and Administrative interviews as needed.
  • Updates the HR shared drive (cleanup) and updates the compliance audit spreadsheet as new hires come on board with the agency.
    Completes reference checks for new hire administrative employees prior to an offer being made.
  • Creates MITC accounts for all agency new hires 
  • Maintains I-9 information and background checks electronically.
  • Files DOL questionnaires electronically. Benefit Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED and experience in clerical/office administrative duties.
  • A 4-year degree in Human Resources, Education or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working in the disability field is preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook). Must have excellent customer service skills
  • He/she must have a knowledge and understanding of the agency’s accreditation process and its value to the organization
Schedule and Compensation:
  • $12/hr, weekly pay (Pay increase once hired on)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST)
  • SPS offers health insurance to employees, while on-assignment.
