Job Description:
Process records and chart documents through the medical record workflow. Retrieves, prepares, scans, and indexes patient documentation into the Electronic Medical Record. Navigates multiple Electronic Medical Records and various computer applications to perform the following job duties to support patient care, regulatory requirements, and meaningful use. EMR techs are a support role for all ambulatory clinics. They are responsible for timely scanning of patient data to ensure providers have complete and accurate information to treat their patients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or Health Information Management degree Have basic computer skills using the EPIC electronic medical record system One to three years of experience with an electronic medical record in a hospital/medical setting preferred Medical terminology preferred Clerical experience, proficient computer/keyboarding skills, filing systems and telephone etiquette in medical care setting.
Position Responsibilities
