We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at US Derm Support Roles. This is a part-time opportunity with a variable schedule between 7:15AM-5:00PM M-F, requiring 20 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities- Perform opening and closing clinic duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Greet patients, check them in for appointments, and verify their insurance information.
- Scan documents into the electronic health record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Ensure the waiting area and reception counter are tidy and well-maintained throughout the day.
- Check schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Respond to designated tasks in the electronic health record, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Order clinic office supplies, sell and track cosmetic products, and distribute mail.
- Prepare for next-day scheduled appointments, ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer functions and able to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
- Must possess attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
- Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
