Data Governance Lead

Audubon is currently seeking a Data Governance Lead to join our team in our Canonsburg, PA office. The Data Governance Lead is responsible for setting up and operationalizing the Data Governance strategy within Audubon’s vast customer base. The focus is on strategic activities related to data management ( setting up structure, specification, process, and procedures to manage all aspects of our 1D, 2D and 3D data.)The main objective of the role is to deliver robust and future proof strategies which are usable and fit-for-purpose in the short, medium, and long term. The Data Governance Lead enables all information management processes by laying the foundation and standards for said processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develops and implements overall data governance strategy Sets up fit-for-purpose reporting to monitor data quality Designs necessary processes, procedures, and workflows to operationalize data governance strategy, including: Data quality monitoring, assurance, and remediation Automatic reporting to manage all data/information Recommendations for appropriate protocols for maintaining data, developing tools and methods for a business to oversee the internal organic data Coordinates with engineering disciplines, IT, and IM administrators to design workable and fit-for-purpose products Troubleshoots issues, analyzes problems, and proposes solutions in line with relevant company and industry standards Supports Digital Twin and Engineering Design tools in terms of design and configurationEXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Has demonstrated experience and certification in data management, information system management, data governance, and data analytics through relevant practical experience (project and/or run and maintain) Capable of structuring complex problems, striking a balance between keeping an overview and going into the details to understand root causes. Continuous Improvement, LEAN, Agile or other experience in work process management and optimization is a plus Project management skills is a plus Experience with digital twins ( integration of document management, engineering data warehouse and visualization.) Exemplifies and drives a performance culture with clear accountabilities, expectations and effective delivery of the outcomes of business processes across organizational boundaries. Has relevant academic or higher vocational education thinking and working level with experience and the ability to quickly learn new technologies Has demonstrated experience with working in diverse and remote teams Experience with relevant IT tools, such as SDx, SPI, S3D, Kongsberg, Azure DevOps, TEAMS, and SharePoint, etc Displays the personal characteristics that would foster an environment of learning and professional development, which includes competence, curiosity, courageousness, and a collaborative approach in order to achieve cohesive solutions to known issues Maximize our performance by setting challenging targets, organizing work effectively, overcoming obstacles, aligning own work with customer/stakeholder needs, supporting others to achieve and implement sustainable solutions, and focusing on continuous improvement and waste elimination Ability to make decisions, clearly communicating own accountability, stimulating desired behavior, and intervening where needed, while complying with rules and procedures, identifying and driving improvement initiatives Engage and inspire while motivating, coaching, and developing team members; actively using different competencies within the team to achieve results; communicating openly and respectfully; giving and asking for feedback.
