Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to assist with administration of retirement benefit programs, such as 401(k) and pension plans. This position will focus on plan implementation, modification, and on-going operational support and analysis. The Specialist provides customer support on complex associate issues. In addition, the Specialist is responsible for the delivery of programs to employees. The incumbent coordinates with third-party providers to ensure the successful delivery of programs, communications and materials. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

Analyze department billing expenses, track and explain variances, and submit timely payment to vendors. Assist management with associate communication and in compliance areas including but not limited to SPD review, plan document review, communication of federally required notices, plan audits, and submission of annual required filings. Create and work with queries to perform analysis and proactive review of retirement plans, including but not limited to annual match validation and trend analysis. Analyze and process weekly data files and reports for retirement plan contributions to ensure correct funds are transferred to recordkeeper. Handle escalated associate issues, research and determine if isolated occurrence or larger problem exists, demonstrate good verbal or written responses in a timely fashion. Properly interpret plan rules to respond to associate and vendor inquiries. Deliver exceptional customer service. Document process and procedure updates for department procedures guides and forms necessary to support proper administration of retirement programs. Update historical department guide as appropriate.
