JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Academic Excellence Center (AEC) is seeking qualified undergraduate students interested in becoming a part-time Tutor for the 3-4 Academic Year for one of the following topics: Engineering Mechanics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, and Physics. Applicants should be able to tutor a wide range of courses within the subject for which they plan to apply. However, we also welcome tutors with an aptitude in a diverse range of courses – you will be able to tutor beyond your focused topic. To tutor for a course, you are required to have taken the course previously. 

Engineering Mechanics Tutors are needed to tutor for EMCH , , , and .

Electrical Engineering Tutors are needed to tutor for EE , , and .

Chemistry Tutors are needed to tutor for CHEM , , , , , and .

Students are permitted to work a maximum of hours per week, but we ask that you are available for a minimum of hours across at least two days of the week.The hours of operation for the AEC are Sunday 2: p.m. - 9: p.m. and Monday through Thursday 5: p.m. - : p.m. The schedule is flexible, and we are willing to work with you to find a time that is best for you to tutor. While we do offer virtual tutoring to broaden accessibility, we ask that tutors provide at least % of their hours in-person to meet demand.

Most students will be walk-ins, but there are opportunities to tutor for opt-in Study Nights in addition to your typical schedule.
