FIELD TRAINER 

Reports To: Regional Manager Position

Overview:

You will be tasked with educating and ensuring compliance with company policy, procedures in sales, marketing, systems, collections, occupancy, community maintenance, staff and resident relations, and expense control for Communities within the region. Occasionally, brief coverage of a community within a region may be required. You will be instrumental in developing consistency in region including employee meetings, lease and sales process, filing, collections, onboarding, advertising, refurb, etc. As a coach for the region, you will be providing on-going peer support to region employees in order meeting community and region goals. You will also be expected to share updates on policy and procedures at region meetings and on region conference calls.

Essential Functions:

• Develop consistency in region including employee meetings, lease and sales process, filing, collections, onboarding, advertising, refurb, etc.

• Provide on-going peer support to region employees to assist communities and the region in meeting their goals

• Monitor and track progress of region employees on systems and procedures covered

• Role play resident, prospect, and vendor scenarios with members of the region staff to develop their ability to handle situations with confidence

• Utilize YES materials to further educate new and existing region employees

• Attend on-going company education seminars and develop an expert proficiency on all new company policies and procedures

• Communicate updates on policies and procedures at region meetings or on region conference calls

• Create and maintain a positive community environment (may including resident activities)

• Create and ensure a safe work environment

• Protect and maintain company assets

• On-board either one-on-one or in small groups, including new Community Managers, CMITs, Sales and Leasing Agents, Office Admin and/or Maintenance Staff to educate on company policies and procedures • Maintain professional behavior which does not interfere with the individual’s work, the work of another team member, or the quality of life for community residents

• Duties subject to change, as deemed appropriate by Management

• Position requires 50-75% travel within the region – locally and overnight

Required Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Achieving above 75% on both QA thresholds and mystery shop reports

• Must be self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision

• Strong leadership, computer, and decision-making skills

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and support staff performance

• Patience and creativity are helpful

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 4+ years’ experience in property management

• A valid driver’s license is required
