For over 50 years (since 1973), Peachford has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Atlanta and southern states region. Our 243-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in the north Atlanta Dunwoody neighborhood, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Peachford’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.

Job Description
Mental Health Associates (MHA) at Peachford create a safe environment for our patients, they save lives, provide hope, empower our patients to heal and teach new tools for coping to patients. MHAs provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and are responsible for the provisioning of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, education groups and activities of daily living.

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or other social services major required. One year related experience preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness, preferred.EEO Statement
