About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to provide direct counseling services to Georgia Tech Athletics student-athletes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations and concerns, as well as successful collaboration with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial screenings, intakes, and assessments for student-athletes
  • Offer individual, group, and couples counseling sessions
  • Maintain thorough clinical documentation, including assessments, notes, and evaluations
  • Provide crisis intervention and after-hours emergency on-call coverage
  • Offer outreach and consultation to students and campus groups
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field. They will also be currently licensed in their professional discipline in Georgia or another state, with the ability to obtain a Georgia license within one year. Two to three years of job-related experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Fully licensed in the discipline of professional counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or other qualified discipline
  • Experience working with a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I student-athlete population
  • PsyD or PhD in Psychology or a related field
  • Certified Mental Performance Consultant via Association for Applied Sport Psychology
