Overview of the position 
As the HR Director for North America, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy, delivering an exceptional employee experience, and driving cultural transformation. You will have geographic responsibility for approximately 360 employees across all sites, including Montreal, Chicago, Miami, and Panama. You will serve as a key partner to the Head of North America and be a member of the relevant local Geography – US ExCom. You will directly manage the US HR team and the Head of HR in Canada, while also being responsible for managing the HR budget for North America. Additionally, you will partner with our regional leadership to ensure a sustainable business that meets the evolving needs of our customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
Lead HR & Communication in the Geography:
• Work with leadership teams to develop and implement a People & Comms strategy aligned with business strategy and local market needs
• Deliver HR services within the geography, utilizing HRBPs within the team, as well as AXA Partner central CofEs and HR Services provided by local AXA entities/ AXA Partners global teams if relevant
• Support and deliver the ongoing HR Transformation activities within the geography ensuring alignment with the target operating model and global People & Comms strategy

People/ Workforce Strategy:
• Partner with the Head of North America to identify, advise, and support them in managing key people topics
• Implement new and changing organizational structures in line with local regulation and in conjunction with local management

Capability building:
• Provide coaching to the leadership population in the geography to ensure effective management practice aligned with company culture
• Support and promote AXA people management practices

Brand Ambassador:
• Utilize the brand locally to support the attraction and retention of key people
• Monitor markets constantly and update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.

Social Relations:
• Manage the social and employee relations environment locally
• Ensure effective HR policies and guidance are in place for managers and employees.

Team Leadership:
• Motivate and develop team members to deliver a high level of performance using effective performance management & development
• Lead team to deliver key goals for business, monitoring & tracking team performance and achievement of KPIs and targets

• Actively sponsor and support the diversity & inclusion agenda, driving an inclusive culture throughout the employee experience.


Your Profile

Skills and Experience
• HR leadership experience across multiple sites
• Commercial acumen and ability to make pragmatic business-focused decisions
• Collaborative and engaging with the ability to drive change and performance
• Strong knowledge and working experience in US employment markets
• Relevant qualification in business management with a specialization in HR/organizational behavior/development preferred.
