Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s preferred in human services, education, public administration, social work or related field. Background and experience in education, social service, or youth development nonprofit environment strongly preferred. Strong commitment to and passion for the mission and values of Pace Center for Girls. Strong professional leadership, judgment, discernment, and critical thinking ability. Knowledge of gender-responsive, trauma-informed, and strength-based programming. Knowledge of systems related to and impacting children and families. A successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization. Training and experience in leadership development and coaching Demonstrated understanding of project management Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to be self-motivated and disciplined. Ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Share information in an open, proactive, and transparent fashion. High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Strategic thinker with sound judgment Ability to analyze, problem-solve, innovate, and be proactive in pursuit of continuous improvement. Investment in working cross-functionally and collaboratively. High energy and strong professional ethics Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset; able to work both individually and as a member of the team. Strong knowledge of software and databases including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Salesforce Valid driver’s license

Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Collaborate closely with the Chief Program Officer, Program Leadership Team, and Program System Team to develop and execute a comprehensive program and operations strategy in alignment with the organization's strategic plan and goals. This strategy aims to optimize team member performance and enhance outcomes for girls. Work in partnership with the Chief Program Officer to enhance organizational performance by translating strategy into actionable plans and fostering transformative change through innovation and continuous quality improvement. Lead a team of Executive Directors, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development to ensure that Pace delivers high-quality programming that yields the best possible outcomes for girls. Recruit, develop, coach, onboard, and retain high-performing Executive-level team members, empowering them to assume greater responsibilities and excel in cultivating a high-performance organizational culture. Supervise program operations across a portfolio of local Pace centers, offering management, strategic partnerships, and approaches that align with the Pace program, mission, culture, and values.

Program Operations

Ensure that Executive Directors are effectively leading and meeting established key performance indicators, outcomes, contractual obligations, and fiscal responsibilities for their Centers. Collaborate with Executive Directors and their management teams to facilitate clear communication of work plans, timelines, and priorities derived from the organization’s strategic plan. Work with senior leaders to ensure coordinated accountabilities, objectives, and fiscal management align with these plans. Provide support and guidance to ensure consistent resource allocation and the consistent implementation of the Pace program, resulting in a high-quality experience and optimal outcomes for girls. Ensure consistent and effective implementation of internal processes, practices, data collection methods, and communication channels to continually enhance Pace’s programming to ensure that girls receive a high-quality experience and can reach their full potential. Analyze and apply data as well as leverage qualitative insights to drive informed decision-making, foster innovation, shape strategy, and provide continuous improvement. Monitor and ensure compliance with established policies, risk measures and safety protocols, intervening when necessary to address and mitigate incidents. Perform other duties as assigned.
