The IT Director is responsible for leading the organization's information technology strategy and ensuring the effective operation of IT systems and services that support the delivery of quality care to clients dealing with behavioral health issues and addiction recovery. This role involves managing IT staff, overseeing technology projects, maintaining IT security and compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to leverage technology for improved client outcomes.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Manage and lead an IT team responsible for network infrastructure, systems administration, help desk support, and application development.
  • Train staff on the proper use of IT systems and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare-related software applications.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of patient health information through compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify technology needs and opportunities for technology process improvement.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions that enhance the delivery of behavioral health and addiction recovery services.
  • Manage IT budgets, related vendor relationships, and contracts to optimize technology investments.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted IT operations.
  • Stay current with technology trends and best practices in healthcare IT to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on IT performance, projects, and strategic initiatives.

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology preferred. Will consider candidates with relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred 5+ years management experience in addition recovery or behavior health settings, with a strong understanding of group therapy principles and techniques. Experience in EHR (Carelogic) preferred.
