Position Summary:

This position will serve as a lead fundraiser and relationship building for the Bellin College Advancement Team. The individual will be an innovative advancement professional responsible for cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding a portfolio of donors to meet annual and capital campaign goals, as well as ensuring a strong growing donor base for financial support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides extraordinary service to all College alumni, donors, students, and friends, and conduct business in a manner that supports the mission, vision, and values of the College. Participates in each step of the donor pipeline including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Develop and implement fundraising plans and prepare a strategy for moves management. Executes the Bellin College Advancement strategic map to grow donor base and fundraising support. Builds relationships with current and prospective donors, alumni, volunteers to support programs and priorities of Bellin College. Maintains information on donors within portfolio and prospects in Donor Database and communicates donor intent. In conjunction with the Director of Advancement, writes and edits communication materials directed at current and prospective donors, such as direct mailing appeals, in­ person visits and e-communications. Provides support in developing, expanding, and sustaining an annual and monthly giving program supporting capital and programmatic needs of the college. Collaborates with the Director of Advancement to continue to grow donor scholarships and establishes goals for growth. Acts as a representative for Bellin College throughout the community. Attends scheduled events and activities throughout the college and the community. Accountable for meeting established fundraising goals and metrics. Utilizes strong oral/written communication with multi-disciplines at all levels. Works with departments throughout the College to further the Bellin College mission and achieve fundraising goals.

Additional Duties:

Participates in College-wide efforts related to continuous quality improvement. Promotes effective and positive working relationships with internal and external customers. Maintains professional confidentiality in all matters relating to college functions. Assists with a variety of projects as delegated or as appropriate to the position. Serves as a member of college committees.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required in business, healthcare, public relations, or related field. Knowledgeable about the community and a proven track record of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding gifts. Three or more years of experience in development/advancement and fund-raising or related fields, preferably in higher education or healthcare. Database management and fundraising software experience recommended. Knowledge and skills in fundraising and donor relationships. Knowledge of annual and capital campaigns. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and fundraising database systems. Knowledge about the regional community is preferred. Must have strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and customer service ethics including a friendly and helpful attitude.  Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with Administration, Faculty and Staff. Utilization of a participatory leadership style that values total quality improvement.  Ability to work independently, multi-task, manage several tasks and projects, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative to support institutional goals and objectives.  Must be organized, attentive to accuracy and detail, have ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality, and proficient with Microsoft Office.
