We are keen on welcoming a virtual paralegal who:
- Has at least 3 years of experience in a law firm setting
- Has proficiency in at least two or more areas of law
- Has been engaged in a law firm setting within the past six months
- Is technologically proficient, especially with Word, Excel, Adobe, and preferably with cloud-based practice management software like Clio.

About Equivity:
Equivity provides virtual assistance to clients across the United States, with specialties in administrative, marketing, and paralegal support services. Equivity works closely with our clients to provide them with virtual paralegals who are experienced in their field and have successfully worked in a remote or virtual environment. Our rich portfolio possesses clients ranging from solo legal practitioners to multi-partner law firms across varied law specialties. Our virtual paralegals are not just employees; they are the pillars of our esteemed organization, working autonomously and fostering valued relationships with our clientele.
You can expect to:
- Operate with significant independence.
- Be responsible for maintaining timely communication with clients between 9 am – 6 pm with a close responsiveness commitment.
- Experience the freedom and flexibility of working from the comfort of your home.
- The selected paralegal will come on board as a W-2 employee (not a 1099 independent contractor), with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 40 hours per week. The starting pay for this role is $23/hr.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of recent experience (within 6 months) working as a paralegal
- 3+ years working remotely
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to manage dynamic conditions and remain proactive in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned tasks
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in legal research platforms, document management systems, video conferencing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Resourceful problem solver who can find creative solutions to challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Your own Windows laptop and smartphone with broadband access to the internet
- Quiet location in which to make and take phone calls
These qualifications are not required, but would be a plus:
- California experience
- Experience with e-Discovery
- Experience with case management
- Experience using law firm bookkeeping software for invoicing and timekeeping
