About the Role

We are looking for a compliance professional to join our Compliance team to support the Regulatory Compliance program at Chime Reporting to the Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs, this individual will be a key contributor in ensuring that we are meeting all regulatory obligations while also maintaining positive relationships with the various regulators. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a talented candidate to deploy their highly-organized program management skills in a fast-paced and rigorous environment, enhance their compliance skills, and to carve out opportunities to grow and develop. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $82,620 and up to $114,800. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to:
  • Support management of supervisory examinations, inquiries, and investigations ensuring stakeholders are well informed and deliverables are completed
  • Assist with preparing notifications and forms related to any and all material changes to the company as required by state and federal regulations
  • Coordinate and prepare all regulatory reports, including license renewals, as required, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support compliance with license maintenance requirements including surety bonds, license renewals, and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with submission deadlines
  • Help the Legal and Compliance team create and implement tools and processes to increase efficiency and improve accuracy.
  • Perform tasks effectively, with a team-oriented approach and strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate key updates to internal stakeholders and manage expectations for key deliverables.
To thrive in this role, you have:
  • 3+ years experience in legal, compliance or regulatory affairs
  • B.A./B.S degree, paralegal certificate a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication and relationship management skills with a very high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with team members at all levels while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, collaboration and discretion
  • Ability to prioritize numerous requests under time pressure
  • Motivated to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Interest or experience in payments and/or lending a plus
  • Experience with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) a plus
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, company executives a plus
