Our New Albany site has an immediately opening for a dynamic Procurement and Scheduling Supervisor who is responsible for ensuring accurate and on-time completion of company sales and operation planning (e.g. customer sales orders, short and long term scheduling and material planning) so the company can meet on time delivery, production goals and objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as primary point of contact for internal customers in preweigh, compounding, and production to provide guidance in reviewing expectations, challenges, issues with a positive sense of understanding and urgency.  Coordinates short term and long-term planning via the scheduling and planning teams, including capacity management and day-to-day scheduling. Leads purchasing team in on-time purchasing and delivery of identified materials for customer orders and/or agreed safety stock programs. Ensures material master information for materials is updated and accurate regarding lead times, costs, and planning parameters to facilitate accurate purchasing and quoting of raw materials. Oversees site interface to operations planning with regards to OEE losses due to material supply; PPM defect rate for material supply; and quality incidents due to supply. Establishes purchasing evaluation and work processes for reduction of non-performing inventory. Performs planning functions for production scheduling. Works with Scheduling team to allocate jobs appropriately to line resources; communicates challenges timely and reviews with key stakeholders; communicates operational decisions with customers and negotiates appropriate solutions. Coordinates planning schedule weekly to accurately forecast capacity needs; communicates to stakeholders of changes in resource utilization. Maintains internal review of manufacturing recipes and versions to ensure that capacity is captured and communicated correctly to the customer; ensures that planners provide capacity analysis to all customers, indicating opportunities for better efficiencies and challenges to requested delivery dates. Creates and delivers tracking tools to enhance customer reporting. Recognize gaps in internal communication and implements strategies to eliminate. Trains, coaches and develops employees within the department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manages performance expectations and delivers feedback. Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and other paperwork according to established company policy.  Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information; customer and production information and other sensitive and confidential information.  Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably focused on planning and execution.  Minimum 1 year previous management experience strongly preferred.
