Position Summary:

Entry-level Maintenance Mechanic.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with a wide variety of tools and instrumentation to repair equipment breakdowns. Work in a highly efficient manner to minimize downtime effects in a production environment. Execute Preventive Maintenance Program schedules to avoid costly manufacturing interruptions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform all daily maintenance functions and 5S requirements (i.e. clean and sweep area)

• Train others as required

• Enter data in T&A and close work orders as required

• Perform other functions in the department as necessary

Timely Repair/Maintenance of equipment facilitating piano manufacture including but not limited to:

• Computer Numerically controlled (CNC) machining centers

• Automatic saw machines

• Sanders

• Planers & Jointers

• Table & Band Saws

• Drill Presses

• Hand tool repair: random orbital sanders and hand grinders

• Spray coating systems

• Pneumatic systems such as compressors and vacuum pumps

• Dust collection systems (interior & exterior)

• General construction facilitating plant renovations and support of company continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Sound hand-to-eye coordination and dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment effectively

• Perform work in physically demanding conditions at times

• Periods of heavy lifting greater than 50lbs. is common

• Attends to housekeeping measures to ensure a safe work environment is maintained

• Assist Continuous Improvement (CI) Events by communicating with team members and building structures to specifications.

Salary Description

$20 - $23.48/hr
