Description

Invoicing Clerk | Wholesale Fuels

Responsible for entering bills of lading (BOL's) and preparing customer invoices. Work closely with the sales team and customers to answer questions and/or resolve issues. Research and resolve invoicing issues timely and professionally. Provide admin and clerical support for other areas as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Invoice company fuel purchases and sales by entering bill of lading data into the computer.
  • Research problems and/or missing bill of ladings.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their pricing structure and contracts.
  • Understanding of different fuel types and their possible components.
  • Understand motor fuel tax and where this applies to certain sales and purchases.
  • Serve as backup to other data entry clerks.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years administrative and/or accounting experience required.
  • Basic accounting/math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are required at all levels.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Prior fuel tax experience is a plus.
