Our ideal candidate will be able to build an effective business plan, partner with leadership, and execute on that business plan to help drive growth as opportunities arise. They will also actively seek out other business opportunities that can boost revenue and set our company apart.

Objectives of this role
  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities
  • Develops business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financial projections
  • Evaluates options and resolves internal priorities
  • Recommends investment opportunities to Sr. Leadership
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations
  • Examines risks and strategic fit for a given opportunity
  • Estimates partners’ needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions
  • Promote the company’s products or services to prospective clients
  • Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders
  • Provide continuous, constructive feedback to Sr. Leadership
  • Review contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines
  • Interact with clients and respond to important inquiries about the company’s products or services
Skills and qualifications
  • BA/BS in business, sales, finance, marketing, or related field – MBA Preferred
  • Proven record of sales growth
  • Experience and proven track-record in business development within a small to medium sized organization
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Time management & planning skills
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
Preferred qualifications
  • +5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or finance fields
  • Communication, negotiation, and networking skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
