Clear Construction is seeking an experienced Lead Finish Carpenters responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality finishing work on high-end residential construction projects.Job location to be between Ojai, Goleta, Montecito, Ventura, and Santa BarbaraPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES•Supervising a team of finish carpenters to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and on schedule.•Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope and requirements of each project.•Measuring, cutting, and installing various types of trim, molding, baseboards, and other decorative woodwork.•Preparing and finishing surfaces for painting or staining, including sanding, filling, and smoothing.•Installing cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in furniture according to specifications.•Inspecting completed work to ensure that it meets the required standards and specifications.•Maintaining and organizing tools, equipment, and materials to ensure that they are readily available for use.•Coordinating with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure that work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.•Communicating with clients to understand their requirements and preferences, and ensuring that work is completed to their satisfaction.•Providing guidance and training to other carpenters to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.•Continuously hone skills by working with the foreman or manager.•Expected to order some jobsite materials.•Expected to run 1 large project with 2 to 3 journeymen/apprentice•Have ability to install smaller projects if the larger one is still in process.•Install base, crown, trim, jambs, casing, wainscot, paneling, chair rail, assist with coffered ceilings, may need some guidance with special hardware, build cabinets, install cabinetry, install interior and exterior doors, install windows.•Be able to communicate to journeyman and apprentices the tasks for that day while also teaching them the proper techniques for that task.•Have their own tools: Have all tools necessary for any type of project installation such as all hand tools, drills, jigsaw, chop saw, levels, laser level, grinder for scribing, small hand plane, etc. Not expected to have a table saw, portable planer, festool domino or festool track saw.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE•High School diploma or GED•Minimum of 6 years as a Finish Carpentry Lead•Be eligible to work in the US and provide documentation•Valid driver's licenseCOMPENSATION•$34.00 to $41.99 per hour DOEBENEFITS•Employer sponsored medical, dental, life Insurance•401(k)•Paid time off and sick pay•Cell reimbursement•Referral program•Competitive pay with yearly reviews and bonus•Opportunity for growthABOUT USClear Construction is a comprehensive design build and general contracting construction company serving Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.
