SynchronyHR is growing and we need you We are seeking a team oriented, focused performer as a Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of the Human Resource Department and contributes to the success of the client relationship. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including administrative tasks, client communication, and timely and accurate processing of tasks associated with SynchronyHR’s Human Resource product offerings. The Human Resource Coordinator works in conjunction with the Human Resource Business Partner and Human Resource Specialist to support client HR projects and/or needs.

This position provides exposure to all areas of Human Resources and provides a potential career path for growth in HR responsibilities. This position works out of our Creve Coeur office and is non-exempt.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the day-to-day administrative tasks of the HR department and support of the Director of HR and Human Resource Business Partners.
  • Collaborate with Human Resource Business Partners to support client projects, understand client needs and ensure timely delivery of HR services to clients and understand client needs.
  • Support the HR team in maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Research state laws and regulations in support of project work or as needed to respond to inquiries.
  • Assists in the development of templates, policies and procedures and handbooks.
  • Implements E-Verify for clients (MOU) and ensures compliance within E-Verify service offering. Audits compliance and communicates issues for resolution to client, payroll and/or HR Business Partner.
  • Contribute to the documentation of standardized HR processes to improve efficiency.
  • Supports unemployment activities including but not limited to, timely claim response, communication with SynchronyHR clients, submitting appropriate supporting documentation, gathering sufficient data to properly respond to claims, scheduling hearing prep calls and participating in hearings as an observer.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from co-employees relative to standard policies, practices and HR technology utilized by SynchronyHR client partners. Refers more complex questions to appropriate Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Audits charges from HR Technology vendors (background checks, posters, applicant tracking), invoices clients and sets up billing within payroll system.
  • Supports SynchronyHR Risk in completing administrative task associated with company risk program.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Monitors implementation of new clients and ensures timely distribution of employment posters and set up of E-Verify as applicable.
  • Manages poster vendor relationship, ensuring subscriptions are added and terminated timely. Works with clients to ensure poster compliance.
  • Assists with the leave of absence processing and communication, including communication with client, employee, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in use of all HR Technology and products. Provides ad hoc training and coaching as needed.
  • Answers phone calls for general HR inquiries and refers them as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of HR-related communications, including client handbooks.
  • Assist in the coordination of employee engagement activities and events.
  • Updates Employee Self Service Portal as needed with HR documents. Triggers alerts as needed to ensure timely communication of new and updated documents.
  • To ensure collaboration among all SynchronyHR teams, may support activities of other departments during periods of peak volume
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to handle multiple taxes and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in an administrative and HR similar Role preferred.
