Title: Billing Manager

Job Purpose:

The Billing Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision and development of the RDU billing team to successfully complete their work and continually meet and exceed department goals. This person will provide support to ensure the smooth running of daily billing in accordance with Marken's guidelines and timescales.

The Billing Manager will lead the monthly billing to meet the final monthly deadline for branches revenues (external and internal). Lead best practice in process and productivity improvements while working in collaboration with other departments.

Position will be office-based in Raleigh / Durham, NC.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively drive the billing process for the local team and prepare analyses as required
  • Ensure invoices are timely, accurate, and complete in accordance with the customer's / Marken's guidelines and expectations
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate monthly billing summaries and closing reports for management and client review, as directed
  • Oversee accuracy of job cost estimation and actuals vs revenue
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy
  • Distribute team weekly responsibilities and address follow-up questions/requests (Internal & External)
  • Analyze claims on invoices, perform appropriate follow up on any issues or mistakes and resolving when necessary
  • Ensure all client issues are resolved and addressed according to company policy in a timely manner
  • Assist & support Finance in analyzing and reconciling customer revenue and cost and periodic audits and clean ups where required
  • Suggest changes to the detailed work instructions and ensure all billing associates are following the same process to improve & increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Use problem-solving skills to develop solutions and procedures to improve workflow process
  • Successfully onboard new accounts /clients & handover to the team
  • Promote development and growth within the team
  • Maintain a good team cohesion through verbal and written communications
  • Manages direct reports: hires, trains, motivates, and evaluates team members
  • Perform other duties as requested by the management
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent 5+ years of Billing Management experience
  • Comfortable meeting tight deadlines with little supervision with an analytical problem-solving skills and eye for detail
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, to provide strong leadership and promote growth and development
  • Strong computer skills with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (an assessment test will need to be passed)
